I'm so proud of you Ireland! Next up USA

It's up to the states currently. It's recognized statewide in 35 states plus DC and is recognized under certain circumstances in 3 states. The Supreme Court is currently deliberating on the legality of the state's rights to denying same sex marriage. It's only outright banned in seven states plus Puerto Rico.

It is that way over here in Puerto Rico, unfortunately. There is a very vocal majority over here that oppose same-sex marriage. Whenever they hear "gay marriage", they gather up every religious leader they can and rush down to El Capitolio and protest against it. And don't get me started on the comments on social media.
