I like to play WiiU games with it... I use it even more often than my Wii U Pro controller. It's a bit clunky, but not too heavy and I can reach every stick and button comfortably. Since I have the high capacity battery, the battery time doesn't annoy me anymore.

But I don't get the "innovative" part. It combines touchscreen input with controller input (sticks and buttons)... but the Nintendo DS has done that for many years, so have many Android handhelds, mobile extensions, 3DS and the PS Vita.

It's an oversized touchscreen-handheld which stops to work, when you leave the living room (or apartment if you have thin walls). ;)
