I'd consider myself a Nintendo fan, even if they aren't my favourite manufacturer. You can most certainly be a fan of a company and enjoy the games which they make; whilst still appreciating the errors and enjoying other games/consoles for what they are and not through fan loyalty.
So as long as Nintendo keep pumping out great games I'll keep playing them. Simple as that.
