I disagree, but these comments are interesting as Nintendo is admitting that there are significant numbers of Nintendo fans that have skipped the Wii U. At least they recognize that this is a problem, though a game like Splatoon is not likely going to convince them to jump back in the Nintendo bandwagon.

They had not skipped it.. atleast not if you look at me.. :)  We just wait to the right time..

Only game so fare that is "system seller" for me is MK8..  (donkey. mario, and nintendoland looks fun.. but not enurf for me to "raise" the money..)

Splatoon are one of the games this year (mariomaker is an other) that offering some truly new.. and most important when you talk me and "casuals" not done/posible in last gen..

I would not be suprissed if theese two games.. are the ones, that gets casual/parents.. who has looked at wiiu and the games.. to finaly buy one.

Remember there are more than 200 mill missing from last gen still.. and alot of them are kids and parents,, who look at fun new experinces and games.. (and if there are any aditional price "pay for online" in this case)

So on topic..

Yes Spaltoon (and mariomaker) will get people more interestet in WiiU..  Tip them over.. and sell systems.. And they offcourse also knows they can buy the new... "insert nintendo AAA title of choice" .. how big of a "system seller" we offcourse has to see the comming month.. but that it will make WiiU even more unik and appealing.. is a fact..

For me... WiiU can still win this gen.. it all depends on the next month and year.. and offcourse the leg of PS4/One.. way to soon to predict sub GC sales.. IMO
