Red Shell Blocked... By Nothingness! Hax? Glitch? Act Of God? <(@o@)>

I noticed something like that happening with my races. Usually when I'm in first place. I'll get red shell warnings and then they will just disappear. I also tossed a red at someone and it failed. It was mind boggling. I assumed it was hax. The dude did have over 20k points.
