Have you heard of Metroid before?

I finished Metroid 1 and 2 multiple times each, but I admittedly have never finished Super Metroid, Fusion, or any of the 3D games. Like other platformer shooters, such as Contra and Mega Man, I kind of lost interest in the series after it went 16-bit, and liked it even less when it went FPS (or FPA if you want to call it that. Although other similar FPS games with much stronger adventure concepts are still called FPS).
