LTD (Q1 08):

FR:

PS3: 656k
Wii: 1.517m

BKK2, you remember of that:

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?start=50&id=14512

with this link:

http://www.lefigaro.fr/medias/2008/03/08/04002-20080308ARTFIG00146-la-xbox-couterait-moins-cher-que-la-wii-.php

At this time in France, it was:

WII: 1.47m
PS3: 630k
360: 610k

We were not sure of the date, but if it's the most recent possible, it's for the week ending 2 march.

In this case, your number for end Q1 2008 seems to low for me, because 10k per week for the ps3, and 20 k for the wii (what i think is possible for the 4 weeks in march) give more.

I forget we have more in this thread for france at the end of 2007 :

PS3 : 563.000

360 : 589.000

So for the ps3, with the Q1 you estimate 134 k, it give at the end of Q1 2008, 697 k.

And we know the total of the wii for the end of 2007:

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=16441

wii: 1.28m

And you said 245 k for the wii during Q1 2008.

So, it give for end Q1 2008, something like 1.525 m

So, it's certainly more hard to read the informations as you do.

Don't forget the ps3 was launch 23 march 2007, and the wii 8 december 2006, so certainly the graph for France is not easy to read because 1 month for the wii or the playstation 3 are not the same date.

So, in fact, your playstation 3 Q1 2008 for France must be too strong, which could says that it sold less ps3 in march, and your LTD numbers could be more right, but for me, 12 month for the ps3 give the week ending 23 march 2008, so not the true end of Q1 2008. So the number of 656 k you give must be for this week, and in this case the number of 656 k is possible.

I finnish with that: 16 month for the wii must give the week ending 6 april. So, the most high number you could read for the wii, is one week next the end of Q1 2008.

I find these graphs very interesting, but finally they seems more hard to read as i think in the begin. Maybe, with the numbers i give you for france at the end of the year 2007 and maybe for the week ending 2 march could help you to better understand the dates of the month in the graphs.

Edit: It seems too hard to read. 9 month next the lauch of the ps3 must give the week ending 22 december, but it don't work, because the ps 3 only beat 500 k in France next 10 month, and even with 10 months, the number of 563,000 seems not possible with the graphs. So i don't understand the month date of the graphs, and maybe, the more simple is to wait new gfk numbers in France.
