Not in the competitive scene, which is what OP is talking about its potential. Say what you want, you cannot dismiss missing a feature like voice char over "hurt feelings" on an multiplayer focused game.

There's plenty of other ways to communicate with each other in the competitive scene.

Anyway, a sequel can always improve on the first game's shortcomings. Why do people not think further than just the first game?
