It would be justice if Nintendo put at least as much effort in 2D Mario as they do in 3D Mario. Then the market would respect Nintendo, buy the hardware to play the game and we wouldn't have to complain about low sales for everything.

Although Nintendo should obviously also treat their hardware in a way that respects the market instead of pushing ideas that the market had already rejected in the past. The way Nintendo views 2D Mario vs. 3D Mario is just the tip of the iceberg.

That's the Nintendo way these days; they make what they want to make, rather than what their audience wants.
