Kanto and Hoenn are often cited as the Pokemon fanbases' favorite regions, and is true from observance. However Hoenn is somewhat infamous for changing the style established from Gen 1 and 2 add to the fact you couldn't transfer your Pokemon from G/S/C makes Hoenn not as well liked by older fans. Personally its my fave region since I love the tropical atmosphere and I LOVE the Ocean, so it worked for me v.v
