I've been enjoying it myself. My only difference in experience is that I find those normal battles very boring. Normal enemies have way too much health and they take too long to kill. That has lead to some duller beginning along with the very bad pacing once you first get to explore the Colony.
Game is more enjoyable once you get out of that area.
