Just because Halo 3 moved an extra 60k retail at launch doesn't mean it wasn't selling consoles long before or after that. I bought an Xbox 360 for Halo 3 a couple months before the game released. I bought an Xbox One because of Halo. Both of those examples make your point invalid.
