Sakurai`s right about the DLC shortly after release. It makes the game being released seem like an incomplete product and they`re trying to get more money out of the consumers, and it just looks terrible. Just look at the Goro pre-order bonus for MKX : /

Though he is also right about the reason for releasing DLC so soon after launch. It`s the best time to get more money from their game. The longer they wait, the higher the chance that audience moves on to the next game. So it makes sense for them to be doing it in a business sense, but for the consumer, it looks awful : / It may be DLC, but I like how Sakurai and some teams at Ninten are handling it. MK8 for example, excellent piece of DLC both the content and the price. Hopefully DLC doesn`t get worse than it is now.

Though I will say, there is good DLC, and there is bad.

Is that really the issue? I mean, they could have easily released Mewtwo months ago, so it is really the release time that changes whether it's a scam or not?

You are conveniently ignoring the fact that Mewtwo was created as a reward for those who purchased both the WiiU & 3DS editions during the launch period.  Where would the incentive be if everyone had access to that character day one?

"Buy and register both the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U games to receive a special soundtrack CD and Mewtwo DLC from Club Nintendo!"
