Im not saying that there cant be more fighters. Im saying you cant give Sakurai a pass simply because there is bunch of characters already in the game. 

First of all, Mewtwo was created as a reward (along with a soundtrack cd) for gamers who bought both versions of the game (WiiU & 3DS).  It wouldn't be a reward if they later patched into everyone elses game for free.
