I don't think he implying that the characters being killed off will stay dead; we know they won't. However, it is odd they are killing characters they don't own the right to use in their cinematic universe.

Marvel has been doing a lot of things lately that make zero sense. You don't kill off or change your cash cows...oh I meant "characters". I suspect Marvel will shut down sooner or later.
