Dragon Age Inquisition was multiplatform and was defintely more mainstream than some of its competition like Bayonetta 2. I'm not trying to say that the best selling games get a better chance at GOTY, but niche games like XCX, P5, maybe Splatoon(?) have a hard time beating the more accessible, mainstream games. 

I agree with you, Just funny how SSBU got robbed even with highest Meta and probably the biggest game of last year.

I just thought DA:I sold about 1mil.... Oh well:0
