It was very crafty of Nintendo to immediately go after Monster Hunter with 3DS and cut off Sony from their biggest handheld system seller.
It's the equivalent of cutting Xbox off from Halo. (Yeah, I know one's first party and the other is third, I meant in terms of how important the series was to the system)
