Well, I've tried to play Xenoblade three times already with the same result, I always end up leaving it between the 3 - 4hs mark due to the same problem, my level of tolerance with it is really low.

I hear you, the 1st time I played it, the same happened to me, it didn't click, I gave up after 5 hours, a few months later after seeing some vids on Youtube (thx chuggaaconroy https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIJ6_pI8ZBc_xVMPYzwQz9g ), I tried again & oh my freakin' God!!!

Do yourself a favor, search the web (gamefaqs, youtube...) to learn how the gameplay works, once you get it & you pass the 1st somewhat plain 5/6 hours, the game starts being amazing, keeps on & go on to be a masterpiece.

Play it until the Colony 9 attack & the face-off with Metal Face (not the intro), if by then the game hasn't click with you, then you can say you gave it a fair shot!
