Somewhere in 2017, or 2018 if NX releases in 2017. Within two years of NX release at the very most. People seem to forget it's a free services that costs Nintendo money
Another possibilty would be they announce a paid online service that becomes available for Wii-U aswell. That will extend the support a few years.
