It was a move for profit. Angry Joe knew what was going to happen but he knew he would get tons of views from his rant against Nintendo. Plus it let him off the hook for making Nintendo videos and somehow paints him as a antihero among his viewers. Probably was the smartest thing he has done. He has gotten press he wouldn't have received otherwise.
