Uh... It's not a genre. You don't have to like it. But western games are what the majority of gamers who aren't currently interested in Nintendo hardware or software, which is the vast majority of gamers, likes. There's no getting around that. Most people who don't want Nintendo want mainstream western AAA games. If Nintendo provided good mainstream western AAA games, then more of those people would be interested in Nintendo.

A good game is a good game. Western or not...
