It is an incredibly stupid policy anyone saying otherwise is deluded.

So, let me get this straight. If someone went to your house and filmed you creating say a piece of art without your consent and knowledge and put it on youtube with add revenue and got thousands of views, you would be ok with that? Its Nintendo's property man, they can do what they want with it. Perhaps its even a strategy to see wich youtubers are more interested in the money than the passion for the coverage.

Yes, i agree this money doesnt make a difference to Nintendo, so there may be more here than meets the eye. Is it greed from Nintendo? Perhaps... but the thing is... no one is forcing you to cover Nintendo stuff. I understand ranting when the policy came out, but this mario party thing is clickbait and his subscribers are beeing taken in for this charade.

Art is allowed by law to be used by others if there is creative license taken from it (which is what Youtubers are allowed to do). There is no legality which protects Lets Plays, but rather artistic license and cutting off soundbytes from Youtube. Nintendo found a loophole from censoring people (which they tried to do a couple of years ago) and cut into the ad revenue. They've actively been trying to censor people and if they can't censor you, to get you to bow down to them is the next best thing they can think of.
