Playstation 4 seems to be on track to be the new PS2.

It is definitly starting to look more and more possible. PS4 already has the games market dominated, and Sony has not even hit full throttle on in house develompent. I think by next year we should be back in the swing of basically a new big name exclusive every month. This should also be the time we start seeing 3rd parties pulling ahead on PS4 or completely dropping XBO/PC versions.

Beyond gaming Sony is doing an awesome job creating the best network of digital entertainment anywhere. PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Video, and PlayStation Music are laying a foundtion for the all digital future, and Sony is for the first time in years getting out ahead of everyone else. In time they will continue to grow this network out to other devices as well, to allow people to view their conent anywhere , and anytime.

Innovative new gaming tech like PlayStation Now, Project Morpheus, Remote Play, and Share Play will be massive players in the next couple of years. Project Mopheus has potential to create the Wii like buzz around PS4 and give it a second life that has even more momentum than we are seeing right now. PS Now will build even more brand awareness as it expands to 3rd party smartphones, TV's Blu-ray Players, and set top boxes. Remote Play in time will give anyone with a 4G connection direct access to their home where ever they are. Finally Share Play will turn PS4 into the #1 multiplayer console this generation, and will continue to push units the more exposure it recieves.

This is just what we already know Sony is working on. They just purchased Onlive, they announced a partenership with ooVoo at CES, and they have placed the PlayStation brand as the flagship buisness of the entire corperation. What will come from these the above is yet to be seen. With the full support of the corperation, and every branch of Sony, PlayStation is in the best position any Gaming first Smart Box has ever been in.
