I don't really believe there would be much fallout from this interview and the Bioware folks aren't exactly... how can I put it... always the most tactful. They can keep a secret but often times they speak their minds. The developers are often on their forums and Jay (the community manager) does quite a bit to keep people in the loop.
Good or bad, that's who they are. I'd rather a developer be honest about her opinions up front than lie and stab gamers in the back. Greg isn't going to just give lip-service to whoever is doing good and then not make good on it like so many other devs IMO. I'm not ruling out that it may have just been a stupid comment made on the spot but at very least he speaks his mind. I can respect that even if I disagree with him.
Also, now that they're a part of EA they may take a bit more internal flak for their statements but Nintendo isn't going to get into a scuffle with EA over an interview.
