You can't compare both together in sales... Look at 3DS sales in 2014, they were much better than this year! 

You cant say that either, because Vita currently is down 25% YoY and 3DS is currently down 11%.

Also 3DS is doing well with only like 1 major release and 3-4 ok ones for the entire year so far
