The majority are winding down Wii U development. Like for example the Splatoon team once they're done Splatoon ... likely are done with the Wii U.

The main EAD Tokyo (Mario Galaxy 1/2/3D World), Next Level Luigi's Mansion team, core part of the Animal Crossing team, are working on NX projects IMO.

Miyamoto already strongly hinted the next Mario game will be for the next system and this was months ago now.

I think Mario Kart 9 for NX is well already underway too, MK8 wrapped almost a year ago now.

Sure sure it wrapped it almost a year ago even though the DLC was still being developed earlier this year. The animal crossing team is working on animal crossing U which ha sbeen hinted at a large number of times. Do you really want to try me? You're assuming a lot just to back your agenda.

The DLC is not being developed by like 50 people, it's likely a small handful and it's likely been finished for a while too, they're just spacing out the DLC to make sure the game keeps selling over time.

MK9 is well in development for NX IMO.

So is the next 3D Mario. Well into development, right now. As I type this.

Wanna bet against that?

I think Animal Crossing is a fairly good bet too. That's the type of game Wii U would've gotten had it sold quite well, but when you sell like that, considerations have to be made.

AC on Wii U would be poor asset management on Nintendo's part. It's not going to "save" the Wii U or change the system's final LTD, but it would incredibly valuable for Nintendo's next handheld launch (which IMO is unified platform, so when the handheld launches, the next generation in effect launches for Nintendo) and sell more copies in the long run too.
