Nintendo's Newest Game to be Kid-Safe

By Misato Katsuragi Published 01/04/2015
TOKYO (JPN) - Speaking with the Juukyuusai no Seifuku, an influential Parents and Teachers organization in Tokyo's Himegoto district, Nintendo's Koyomi "Yomi" Mizuhara assured attendees that the video-game giant's newest property Splatoon--an online shooter in the mold of Call of Duty--would take every measure possible to protect children from adult gamers intent on ruining the fun of others.
"Yes, we've thought through all (of that), and our response is to develop a method where players will be matched with other players in the same age group." Mr. Mizuhara referenced a slide that displayed a registration process that had to be completed each time the game was launched. "We don't want that, we don't want these adults who look to hurt feelings to target children," he continued, "and so we will protect our precious children by only allowing adults to play against adults. This way we make everyone feel both excited and peaceful. This is how we answer, with solutions others do not grasp."
Splatoon is scheduled to appear in 2015 and will make use of the Wii's futuristic tablet controller.
