No it's not, though I guess it is in reguards to whether it's a handheld or console. But it's not in the sense that it doesn't imply two different form factors based off the same platform. The iphone/ipad are part of one platform, but they would be two different systems.
Personally, I think they didn't specify because the just didn't want to yet. If the NX is just a home console and nothing else, specifying that this early on would be pretty fucking stupid. But if they called it a handheld, when it was really a home console all along, that would be a flat out lie. Same thing in the case of a handheld. If it's one or the other, specifying which one it is two years earlier when the systems are still trying to stay afloat would be pretty fucking stupid.
They still want to, you know, make money while they wait to release it.
