Do you have an iMac? Mac mini? Macbook? Mac Pro? "Mac" is just an all-encompassing term for a hardware line. Notice how Nintendo refuses to specify the NX as a console OR handheld ... they just refer to it as a generic "game platform" ... that's another tip off right there.
NX will likely be like that (or iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch if you wish) ... similar hardware/software repurposed into several form factors which the consumer can pick and choose from.

I keep seeing this. Where did they ever specifically call the NX a platform? I've only seen it refered to as a "dedicated game system." They refered to the new program as a platform, but I don't remember anyone refering to the NX as a platform. I'm not saying you're wrong, because I agree that that will be the case, but I don't remember anyone saying the NX was a "platform."
