3DS will likely will likely be well past due by 2016 ... if NX is a multiple hardware brand, then sure, why wouldn't there be a new NX portable in 2016?
Even for fans who hold the whole "each generation MUST BE FIVE YEARS OMAGAWD YOU CAN"T LAUCNH BEFORE FIVE YEARS, GOD SAID SO IN THE BIBLE" mantra, last time I checked
Feb 2011-Feb 2016 = 5 years.
Meaning 3DS will be well past due for an upgrade after any point after Feb 2016.
