So Nintendo knows if they're going to build this NX thing they need to carry it at least early in the life cycle ... so maybe we'll see stuff like Zelda and a 3D Mario maybe early on. Bring the big guns early and try to establish as good of an install base as you can ... then maybe third parties may be amenable if there is a proven userbase, but not before. |
The first step to gaining third party acceptance is creating a console that wont dumb down current gen games. A new console can meet those end. Anything else can be furnished if they want to get anywhere with any form of longevity. They are moving with the legs of Sega of America right now, but unlike Sega theres no third party left for them to piss off.
