It's so far above the average that the difference is almost breathtaking. It's clever, nuanced, so well written and directed. The voice work is flat-out excellent, the animation is detailed and intricate, and the music is perfect. So many great characters, so many great moments. Shirobako truly and honestly felt like a labor of love, where the staff were pouring in all their experiences and emotions. My only regrets are that it's over and that I lack the knowledge to understand all the references. P.A. Works should be very, very proud. |
