Nintendo isn't teaming up with "Playboy", Playboy has a video game section on their website, so they're a media outlet and media outlets were all invited to play Splatoon.
No big deal.
And Nintendo has worked with Playboy in the past multiple times anyway (on Bayonetta 2 cross promotion with a Playboy model and back in the day they have Conker specific print ads in Playboy magazine).
