Uran10 winter anime 2015 round up, anime #2
Akatsuki no Yona: Akatsuki no Yona is a very interesting anime with a premise that seems to have been done quite a number of times when you think about it. The king is murdered and a general and the kings only daughter escape the castle, however that is kinda where it ends. Its not a show bent around revenge but one around character buildign and interaction, most things are not what they seem. Su-won, the murdere and cousin of Yona would have you hate him at the start of the show for what he has doen to our lovely protagonist but as the story continues and you begin to see the way he thinks and the way the kingdom is you begin seeing things a little differently. He is a very good antagonists and one you will find yourself liking more and more. The same can be said about every single main character. We see them grow every episode and not just in strength but in character. It really and truly is an amazing experience. The character interactions combined with the story and plot leads to an action, adventure, romance and most of all comedy that all can enjoy. I don't want to spoil anything but if you truly like characterization in anime then you will love Akatsuki no Yona. As of this write up all 24 episodes of the anime have aired, if you want to read the manga after you finish the anime covers roughly 48 chapters. Akatsuki no Yona was given 9/10 from me on MAL.
Later tonight: Shinmai maou no testament season 1
