New experiences? Whats wrong with having new ip's, existing titles in franchises and remasters? Remasters sell consoles, good for gamers. Remasters give more money to the dev, good for gamers. At the end of the day, we still choose whether we wanna buy a remaster or not. If millions of people are buying remasters, naturally there is a demand for ps3-gen games on ps4. If it gets to the point where the majority of people dont want remasters, they wont buy it. Then comapnies will stop making.. |
As a consumer, I'm not going to judge something by its practicality from a business standpoint. Its Sony's job to understand these problems and do something to compensate for it and selling over priced and undervalued remakes is not going to win my favor.
Also, thats an interesting list you go there, which I could break apart if I wanted. To keep it short, a lot of those games disappointed, are mediocre, aren't out yet or are only new in name and a lot of others are just too tiny for most people to notice. I love small digital games as much as the next guy, but they aren't going to validate my purchase of a system.
As I previously stated, as with any game, remasters need to validate their existence. A tiny increase in framerate and a bump in resolution just doesn't do that. If you want to remaster a game, give me a signficant improvement (which isn't really possible graphically in a PS3 to PS4 remaster) or I'm going to complain that I am being sold fluff and filler.
