Op as it stands right now, for non Nintendo fanatics Nintendo's role if purchased is a secondary console because of its trend of having a lack of third party. Wii has been the only time since the SNES that the Nintendo was ever seen as a primary console by the masses and that was because it had third party. The Wii was an anomaly and dealt with a new market of consumers who Microsoft and Sony had limited access to. They were not loyal to Nintendo and neither would they be to any other console. They just wanted the gimmicks and eventually all three brands gimmicks went sour.
