I can't speak for the typical mobile strategy games, but Fire Emblem is a game I rarely play for under an hour. I usually get so engrossed in my strategies that I can't bring myself to stop until the battle is nearly won, I've reached a save point, or am about to advance to a new part of the same battle. When people say a title is suited well for mobile, I assume they're referring to games that can be picked and dropped easily, since that seems to be the draw in the first place. Something like a rhythm game, a stage-based arcade game, or any simulator would work great for that in my opinion. Fire Emblem though...I just honestly can't see it being something I'd be remotely interested in playing on anything other than a dedicated gaming device.

If there's a large market for SRPGs like Fire Emblem, then I guess don't see a problem in releasing ports on mobile. I just pray to God that my favorite gaming franchise isn't altered on dedicated devices to fit this demographic, or worse, made exclusive to the platform. I can think of very few pieces gaming news that would disappoint me more than that.
