So, essentially, Nintendo becomes a huge 3rd party developer on smart devices? I find the idea of Nintendo IP's and talent used for mobile devices to be terrible from an artistic and gaming point of view but it is obviously a clever business move, and exactly what I've been saying they'll have to do to remain relevant in the long run.
Seems like they're finally coming around to understanding that they need to adapt to the market, not the other way around.

I do wonder how they'll cope with not having control over the hardware though, this has always been on their main strengths; the software/hardware synergy they have become famous for.
Unless they plan on making smart devices themselves, in which case; no, no, no, don't do it...
