Well, Kirby is May 8, and I already expected Splatoon to be a late May release, like Mario Kart 8, so I don't see how that isn't possible. Kirby isn't popular in Europe either, and that's probably an understatement: Kirby games often sell like shit over here. I don't think that it'll affect Splatoon sales in any way, so that shouldn't affect Splatoon's release date either. Furthermore, Nintendo has released multiple games in a month before, I even recall several occasions of two games on the same day (Link's Crossbow Training and Pokémon Battle Revolution for example, DKC: Returns & Mario All-Stars, and New Super Luigi & Pikmin 3 as well).

EDIT: About the Splatoon release date. If we assume it's a late May release, May 29 (on a Friday) would be a good candidate, and that still 3 weeks after Kirby's release date. I think it's definitely possible.

May 30th was my estimated release date for Australia. (Major Nintendo releases tend to land of Saturdays here)

I just hope you're right, the delays are getting tiresome.
