The dude will get his refund, this is what always happens, Sony always closes the account and starts an investigation witch could take sometime he will likely get all his money back and account renewed.
These sites scaremongering for no reason smh.
Anyway, if this dude got hacked its his own damn fault, this is why you have 16 letter password consisting of random letters/capitals with numbers and symbols.
