I don't really understand this attitude. Why would you retire from gaming just because Nintendo games are played on a machine that says PlayStation or Xbox. The games are the same. Are you really that attatched to Nintendo Hardware you wouldn't touch the very same games because they were on a different colored box? |
I think the mentality comes from hardcore Nintendo fans believing that Nintendo is somehow the only company that cares about games. It's a fairly blind and ignorant mentality, considering that Sony has done nothing but prove the exact opposite for the last 2 decades. Some people are just that devoted to a single brand that they've entered an almost cultist mental state, and if their "god" disapears, they'll commit a sort of mass suicide (metaphorically speaking).
Going third party would be great for Nintendo. Hell, I might actually start buying their games again.
