Lol yeah, they were called c-buttons because they were camera buttons lol for the 3D camera. That's why they were all one letter, one color, and had directions instead of following the XY precident from the Super Nintento. They would have just called them CDXY buttons instead.

Same reason the trigger button was called Z. It's for the Z axis. As in 3D.

Lol I'm having the biggest epiphany right now.
