This kinda goes to show the whole "they like Wii Sports Bowling! Eventually they'll learn to play other games too!". Nope. Most seniors can't even play a simple game of Mario Kart and if they can, it's so mind wracking/stressful to them that they don't really enjoy it. Doesn't matter how much you dumb down the controls. There was no way that "senior" portion of the Wii audience was ever graduating up to playing probably even 2D Mario ... that probably is too complex for them.

They caught on pretty quickly to GTAV and CoD. Do you think Nintendo has a problem making the games casual enough to bridge for non-gamers?

Which seniors can play GTAV and CoD honestly?
There is no "bridge" to an audience like this, they may be able to play a handful of very, very rudimentary games (ie: Wii bowling only because they have a real life frame of reference from actual bowling, and maybe some smartphone touch games that are super basic) and that's about the extent of where their gaming ability ends.
