Yet it has been confirmed many times it is still in development ;)

Lots of games are revealed 2 years or even 3 years before release.

But most games actually show gameplay or screenshots of said game. Versus XIII took forever but we saw actual trailers and gameplay footage. To summize SMTxFE as just a long dev cycle is misleading.

Regardless of us seeing footage of the game, it still exists. :)
