WiiU is selling less then Gamecube annually, but I expect it to outsellf Gamecube overall because of the longer lifespan of consoles now. I mean no one thought PS3 would eventually sell 85% as well as Wii when at one point it was less then 50% on par.

The Wii U will be dead in 2 years.

I doubt that, Gamecube only lasted 4 years with decent sales (2001-2005), I think WiiU can at least match Wii which had 6 years (2006-2012). So I don't think WiiU will drop off the shelves until 2018 at least.

I'm saying that trying to sell as many consoles as you can by selling your hardware at big losses is a dumb strategy.

Sony sold 160 million PS2's. Nintendo sold 80 million GBA's and 20 million GC's. A difference of 60 million units yet Nintendo made more than double the amount of profit.

The goal is to make a profit and Nintendo does this a hell of a lot better than Sony or the console department of MS.

I've seen this before, nice, but keep in mind Nintendo rakes in a ton off the handheld market, which it basically has a monopoly on. Sony really got hurt with the PS3, but it had to what it needed to to keep it's market share and now the PS4 is raking in tons of $$$. Plus they aren't throwing tons of $$$ to save the Vita, so they've learned
