This is exactly what I'm talking about. You can get platinums on Nintendo games just as you can with any game ever - it's called 100%. I got a "platinum" on Super Mario 3D World and even posted the screenshot of it on Miiverse because I felt like bragging about it. I didn't feel like I didn't get rewarded or anything because the system didn't give me a little trophy saying I got a Platinum. |
I look at it as a way to capture my gaming history. It would be really cool of they had trophies back in the early 90s and I could look back and see of the games I played as a kid and see all the trophies I earned.
Trophies are only an issue if you dont play certain games because they have a hard platinum or play a game you dont like because it is an easy platinum. For instance I have been spending time with Driveclub. Its not any platinum by any means as many of the trophies take skill, and many take alot of time. I still look at the trophy list, sometimes if it gives me an incentive to take a different approach (I thought Shadow of Mordor nailed the trophies, many them forced you to be creative with the Nemesis system)
