pretty much this. it's not a big deal on it's own but when added with all the other missing features it is. Many people will say they don't care and don't need it but if Nintendo launch them with their next console many of these same people will love them and realisewhat they were missing out on. If you have gotten a few platinums on pS3 but you also love gaming on nintendo you'd know how sweet it would be platinuming some of nintendos best games like mario, zelda etc.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You can get platinums on Nintendo games just as you can with any game ever - it's called 100%. I got a "platinum" on Super Mario 3D World and even posted the screenshot of it on Miiverse because I felt like bragging about it. I didn't feel like I didn't get rewarded or anything because the system didn't give me a little trophy saying I got a Platinum.

I look at it as a way to capture my gaming history. It would be really cool of they had trophies back in the early 90s and I could look back and see of the games I played as a kid and see all the trophies I earned.

Trophies are only an issue if you dont play certain games because they have a hard platinum or play a game you dont like because it is an easy platinum. For instance I have been spending time with Driveclub. Its not any platinum by any means as many of the trophies take skill, and many take alot of time. I still look at the trophy list, sometimes if it gives me an incentive to take a different approach (I thought Shadow of Mordor nailed the trophies, many them forced you to be creative with the Nemesis system)
