Not sure why you were expecting an artistically quirky 2D sidescroller to be a techological milestone. :P

As others have said though, you'll be hard pressed to find a mobile game that looks as good as Wii U launch titles like Mass Effect 3 or Black Ops 2, much less later games like Need for Speed Most Wanted U, Mario Kart 8, or Art of Balance.
