2. Like I said before, very few are capable of this feat and many do not even figure out if such exploits esist! You yourself mentioned that you got outside help to get a modded WII but many are not so lucky to come across guys like those. Console hacking is very much a private area ... 

3. Nonetheless it was ultimately Gamestop who raised the price ...

1. A lot has changed even between the early 7th gen and now.

2. Wii modding and piracy was not a rare thing, it was quite widespread by 2011. The console itself was quite easy to mod, and you could find just about any game you might desire online.

3. It's supply and demand though; a high price is brought about by demand outstripping supply.
