A weird question, but hear me out.
Nintendo is supporting the N3DS on their own. Most (if not all) of third parties are going to ignore the N3DSbecause there are just more 3DS users than N3DS ones. And even Nintendo is goin to give the system a rather weak library, N3DS only. All of Nintendo's effords on the handhelds are going either to the regular 3DS or to prepare the new system. Most of N3DS are goin go be GC/Wii ports, to save time and efford, maybe one original title to justify paying for a new system.
But what if a third party does a port from one of its 5th-6th gen games? What game could be easy enough to port, and popular enough to make a profit in such small userbase? Going a bit further, what third party game could be popular enough as Xenoblade 3DS, to justify upgrading the system?
I'm going to make a little survey, and make a list of titles, just for curiosity. Only one per user, you can say more than one, but I'm going to put only the first one.
| Game | Publisher | Original system | Genre | Number of people supporting the idea |
| Final Fantasy VII | Square Enix | PS1 | JRPG | 3 (Skullwaker, KingdomHeartsFan, WhiteEaglePL) |
| Resident Evil 4 | Capcom | GCube | Survival Horror | 1 (zorg1000) |
| Silent Hill | Konami | PS1 | Survival Horror | 2 (QUAKECore89, Natsu) |
| Dragon Quest VIII | Square Enix | PS2 | JRPG | 1 (celador) |
| Knack (lol XD) | Sony | PS4 | Platform | 1 (vivster) |
| Megaman X Collection | Capcom | PS2/GCube | Platform | 1 (generic-user-1) |
| Minecraft | Microsoft | PC | Sandbox | 1 (kljesta64) |
| The Sims 2 | EA | PC | Simulation | 1 (Conina) |
| Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader | Disney now | GCube | Aviation | 1 (HoloDust) |
EDIT. For the list only remakes or ports. No new games. What Non Nintendo game could sell a Nintendo console?
