It's supposed to make it more hardcore. MIcromanagement under a time limit is the core gameplay mechanic in PC RTSs (that Pikmin was based off of).

I guess. But I have enough Starcraft in my life. I just wanna explore the world and not worry about a time limit or planning anything out.
